THESPIAN Family Theatre & Productions is a community focused organisation, triggering
social and behavioural change through visual storytelling.
SINCE 2003
How we began
We started in 2003 as an organ of the Societal Positive Impact Initiative poised “to do good” in our community, then evolved as a youth engagement platform using storytelling and drama as tools of engagement.
We became a limited liability company in July 2013. Through our craft, we seek to contribute our quota to Nation building.
C0RE VALUES
Five values that shape every production
01
Citizenship
We create work that helps people take responsibility for the society they share.
02
Community
Communities are collaborators in our work, never an audience to be spoken at.
03
Character
Integrity on stage and off it — in rehearsal rooms, classrooms and partnerships.
04
Creativity
Storytelling is our instrument for change, and craft is non-negotiable.
05
Cultural Awareness
We preserve African heritage and carry it into contemporary conversation.
